On Monday, July 29, I was tagged in several social media posts about two school buses dropping migrants off at the South Bend Social Security office. People had expressed that they couldn’t utilize the office’s services because of the number of people there.
The people dropped off at the SSA building were all young men who appeared to be Mexican, Central, or South American. Most likely they were migrants. People asked that I look into it. I did.
Rep. Jim Banks, who’s also running for Senate in Indiana also shared a post about the buses in South Bend.
That particular post he responded to was removed, but others remain.
Vice President Kamala Harris was routinely labeled as Biden’s ‘border czar’ by the news media. The Democrats and many in the media are trying to erase that historical fact.
“This was a group of lawful, documented residents at the social security office,” Mueller, a Democrat, said in a written statement. “Rep. Jim Banks is a shameful opportunist, spreading racist political lies instead of advancing real solutions for South Bend or our nation’s broken immigration system.”
Before he issued the statement, Mayor Mueller’s spokeswoman told the paper:
the mayor’s office learned enough about the situation to know that the people were at the Social Security office lawfully conducting business.
Given that migrants who have no legal standing to stay in the U.S. often get released into the country pending their hearing, it’s certainly a concern that these might be illegal immigrants, or asylum seekers who don’t qualify for asylum under the law. This is a common issue with the country’s border policies. Allowing migrants who crossed the border illegally to remain in the U.S. after being captured is a signature complaint about Biden’s border policy.
I contacted Mayor Mueller’s office since he didn’t answer people’s questions about the migrants at the SSA building to see if I could get more information.
Here’s what I sent him:
After talking about the issue in my first segment on my radio show, Mayor Mueller’s office decided to send this response:
Rep. Jim Banks made no such assertions in his post. It was more ad hominem attacks from the Mayor’s office and the questions weren’t answered.
Finally, I was sent the response from the SSA about the migrant buses in South Bend from someone else who was working on this issue (I erased the name of the recipient):
If the Mayor’s office hadn’t kept this all close to the vest and was just honest about what was happening, people might not have been as angry as they were. Instead, they chose to hurl false insults and attacks at people who were just trying to figure out what was going on.
A liberal immigration activist forced NPR to change a photograph on a news article because it had an “inflammatory” image of a migrant caravan.
Attorney Aaron Reichlin-Melnick of the American Immigration Council objected to the use of a photograph of a migrant caravan on one of NPR’s articles on Thursday.
“And it begins—NPR uses an inflammatory picture of a caravan that was broken up days ago for a story about a deportation moratorium that only applies to those here months ago and a policy reversal that wouldn’t have affected almost all of the caravan even if they had made it here,” he tweeted. Editors who draft headlines and choose pictures for stories, please, I beg you, these small choices matter a LOT.
I guarantee you that 99% of the people who saw this tweet did not click the story, and as a result will leave with a completely false opinion about what happened. pic.twitter.com/kA9VrHsrmV — Aaron Reichlin-Melnick (@ReichlinMelnick) January 21, 2021 The article reported the announcement of the Biden administration to rescind the policy of the former Trump administration to keep non-Mexican applicants for amnesty in Mexico for the duration of their application being processed.
Reichlin-Melknick explained in a further tweet that the caravan was down to approximately 3,200 migrants in one report after starting with 7,000.
“That’s up from 3,000 reported on Tuesday—so that number will keep climbing,” he said of the migrants leaving the caravan and returning to their home country.
Several hours later Reichlin-Melnick praised NPR for changing the image to one that is less “inflammatory” in his estimation. Extremely pleased to see that NPR has now changed the picture on this article in response to the critique! pic.twitter.com/LYEVbC5rVm — Aaron Reichlin-Melnick (@ReichlinMelnick) January 21, 2021 “Extremely pleased to see that NPR has now changed the picture on […]
WASHINGTON—Michelle Malkin, author and political commentator, was inspired to write her newest book after caravans of migrants from Central America began piling illegally across the U.S.–Mexico border in November 2018.
The book, “Open Borders Inc. Who’s Funding America’s Destruction?”, is a 500-page compendium that makes the case that U.S. sovereignty is on the brink of being lost, sold out through endless illegal immigration, amnesty deals, sanctuary policies, the refugee program, and systematic attacks on immigration enforcement.
Malkin’s investigative premise was to follow the money, and this sentence perhaps best sums up her claim: “The open borders conspiracy enabling unrelenting waves of migrant outlaws is a colossal profit-seeking venture cloaked in humanitarian virtue.”
Malkin names hundreds of nonprofit groups and churches, with billion-dollar budgets, that are involved in eliminating America’s borders and creating a global governance. She names corporations, Silicon Valley CEOs, and Hollywood elites who push for a borderless America, and the liberal media that she says is complicit. She calls hedge fund billionaire George Soros the CEO of “Open Borders Inc.”
Malkin said billions, if not trillions, of dollars are involved.
“I think what’s shocking is not the fact that you have a single hedge fund billionaire in George Soros—who has now earmarked $18 billion out of his $25 billion net worth to go to these kinds of programs—but I think not enough Americans pay attention to the kind of philanthropy that is destroying America,” Malkin said.
“You cannot underestimate the ripple effect of that private philanthropy. I think what’s going to shock people is the amount of taxpayer funding that is building off and leveraging the Soros piece of it. The refugee resettlement program itself has given billions of dollars to religious nonprofits that I’m sure a lot of churchgoers have no idea is going on.”
A Syrian refugee living in Pittsburgh was arrested Wednesday in an alleged plot to blow up a church in the name of the Islamic State.
Mustafa Mousab Alowemer, 21, is charged with one count of attempting to provide material support and resources to ISIS, as well as two counts of distributing information relating to an explosive, destructive device or weapon of mass destruction.
Alowemer was born in Daraa, Syria, and admitted to the U.S. as a refugee on Aug. 1, 2016, federal prosecutors said according to the criminal complaint against him. He recently graduated from a Pittsburgh-area high school and does not hold a U.S. passport.
Prosecutors allege that Alowemer said he was planning an attack against the Pittsburgh church in order to “take revenge for our [ISIS] brothers in Nigeria.” Alowemer allegedly plotted to attack the Legacy International Worship Center, a majority black church on the city’s north side, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
A fatal police shooting inSouthBend, IN has brought Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg home so he can politic for votes, and every dumbass comes out of the woodwork to attack police without a shred of evidence they acted improperly.
My theory has always been that they were paid to get to the border, but are not being paid to get home. Hence the demands and failure of so many to depart Tijuana.
Two groups of Central American migrants marched to the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana on Tuesday with a list of demands, with one group delivering an ultimatum to the Trump administration: either let them in the U.S. or pay them $50,000 each to go home, a report said.
Among other demands were that deportations be halted and that asylum seekers be processed faster and in greater numbers, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
The first group of caravan members, which included about 100 migrants, arrived at the consulate around 11 a.m. Alfonso Guerreo Ulloa, an organizer from Honduras, said the $50,000 figure was chosen as a group.
“It may seem like a lot of money to you,” Ulloa told the paper. “But it is a small sum compared to everything the United States has stolen from Honduras.”
Ooooh! So now it’s about how much the US has ‘stolen from Honduras?’
The US gives Honduras more than $127 million in aid every year. They are the fourth largest aid recipient from the US. Now, who‘s stealing from who?
They also derided US ‘interference’ in Central America and demanded the US remove Honduran President Orlando Hernandez from office. So, which is it? Do you want the US to not get involved in Central American affairs or do you want us to remove a president from office?
The $50k they demanded would allow them to return home and ‘start a business.’ You only need a few hundred dollars, maybe a couple of thousand, to start a business in the US. In Honduras, $50k is over 1.2 million lempira. They’d be well-off.
