House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy Tried To Get President Trump To Resign

In newly release audio, Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) that he had tried, and was going to try again, to get President Trump to resign during election overtime.

Rep. Liz Cheney is running the kangaroo court that is the January 6 Commission and has repeatedly been embarrassed by lies and falsified evidence.

Both McCarthy and Cheney are considered by the GOP’s conservative base to be part of the ‘swamp’ and have been for many years.

They were discussing the 25th Amendment resolution to strip Trump of his powers as President. McCarthy says that he thinks it will pass and his recommendation would be for Trump to resign.

McCarthy and Cheney both voted against the resolution, though it seems to have just been political pandering to their constituents while they worked behind the scenes.

National File also is reporting that Fox News and nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity was trying to get Trump to resign also, and that Vice President Pence was leading the charge to get the White House council to leave.

Hannity sent a text message to Mark Meadows on December 31, 2020 urging Trump to concede the election overtime period. Hannity wrote, “We can’t lose the entire WH counsels office. I do NOT see January 6 happening the way he is being told. After the 6 th. He should announce he will lead the nationwide effort to reform voting integrity. Go to Fl and watch Joe mess up daily. Stay engaged. When he speaks people will listen.” Hannity texted Meadows on January 5, 2021 with the message: “Pence pressure. WH counsel will leave.”

I can’t independently verify the Hannity text messages but National File is very good at this sort of reporting.
