Yeah, insulting the Saudis before going over there to beg for their help with oil isn’t a winning strategy. Also, Khashoggi wasn’t a journalist, he was a government agent for Qatar.
Of course, it isn’t cultural appropriation. This flavor preexists the company and red velvet is over 80-years-old. If any cultural appropriation happened, it was the ice cream country stealing a recipe from another race.
