Not only has the liberal MSM behaved this way on old unsavory posts, but they acted exactly the same during the #MeToo meltdown. Eventually, they were forced to finally take down some of theirown. Of course, now they are trying to walk back how bad some of their own’s actions really were (i.e. Al Franken).

If you’re a conservative journalist, you have been the target of this behavior by leftist “think tanks”—which are the same ones spoonfeeding reporters their scoops. So what these reporters are calling a “war on the press” is an admission they’ve been waging this war for years.
Most of us have been targeted by the few resources on the right that do this as well, because the right has an obsession with righteous purges. I guess it’s relatively new for lefty journos to have ppl spending all their time trying to get you fired. It’s not fun.
This is gonna be like when, after targeting us for like a year, the alt right harassed Julia Ioffe and suddenly the ADL and other groups were like “wait they’re targeting non-righties? This is unacceptable.”
Companies are to blame too. How many ppl got fired over an old dumb joke, or something out of context, or something the person clearly no longer believes? Stop inviting twitter trolls to run your HR for you and life will be better for everyone.
