In a sad, sad day for journalism in Michiana, WNDU took down a story about South Bend, IN making the 50 worst cities to live in list … again. They did so after the Mayor publicly attacked them for publishing it.
UPDATE: They are still clueless.

The city of South Bend has proposed to pay for sexual assault training for all government workers and elected officials. This got me thinking … Why don’t they pay for other ongoing training courses that would help them be better at their jobs?

Rep. Jackie Walorski Doesn’t Tell The Truth About CHIP Funding
by Casey | Jun 12, 2018 | Blog, Podcast
H.R. 3 rescinded funds from programs who were defunct or didn’t need the money. One of those programs is the popular Children’s Health Insurance Program or CHIP.
A listener has asked me why she would vote against getting money that isn’t needed by a program back so it can be used by programs that need the funding. Good question.
Rep. Walorski’s (R-IN) response was that she opposed cuts to CHIP, but H.R. 3 didn’t actually cut CHIP programs. So, her reasoning for opposing rescissions is false.
