And when a House Office of Inspector General cybersecurity investigation found that Awan made “unauthorized access” to House servers, including the House Democratic Caucus’ shortly before the election, Wasserman Schultz became “frantic, not normal,” “making the rounds” to House officials in an attempt to kill the investigation, one House employee told The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Awan told people Wasserman Schultz chose the name for his daughter, Leza — a Jewish name — and that the Florida congresswoman’s daughter regularly rode a horse that Awan kept at a boarding facility, sources with knowledge of the relationship told TheDCNF.
Wasserman Schultz cornered House Chief Administrative Officer Phil Kiko and called him a “fucking Islamophobe,” saying “you will not so much as take away their parking spots,” the two House employees said Kiko told them.
The Capitol Police turned over a trove of evidence in the alleged Imran Awan House cyberbreach and theft case to the defense attorneys when they were supposed to deliver it to prosecutors instead, according to court documents and a source.
And hours after The Daily Caller News Foundation asked prosecutors about the disclosure, Awan’s lawyer said he had learned of the forthcoming story from a source on Capitol Hill. TheDCNF had not told anyone other than prosecutors about it.
“The cop came to [Awan’s defense attorney] Chris Gowen’s office with a stack of papers … Then he came back and said, ‘I thought you guys were the other party.’ He was very, very angry. But Gowen made copies,” the source, who’s familiar with The Awans, told TheDCNF.
But wait. There’s more!
Gowen — a former aide to failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton — said he learned of the story through someone on Capitol Hill. “I have been told by my source on the Hill,” he said.
If true, this would imply congressional staff, or possibly even members, are feeding information to the attorney of a hacking suspect.
I can say this, if these facts are accurate it demonstrates yet again how not only willing, but eager the president’s son and the Trump campaign were to solicit to receive foreign help, and I completely disagree with Mr. Giuliani, receiving, soliciting, using foreign assistance is a crime. You’re not allowed to get the help of a foreign government, friendly or unfriendly.
A Cambridge professor with deep ties to American and British intelligence has been outed as an agent who snooped on the Trump presidential campaign for the FBI.
Multiple media outlets have named Stefan Halper, 73, as the secret informant who met with Trump campaign advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos starting in the summer of 2016. The American-born academic previously served in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations.
The revelation, stemming from recent reports in which FBI sources admitted sending an agent to snoop on the Trump camp, heightens suspicions that the FBI was seeking to entrap Trump campaign aides. Papodopoulous has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, while Page was the subject of a federal surveillance warrant.
“If the FBI or DOJ was infiltrating a campaign for the benefit of another campaign, that is a really big deal,” President Trump tweeted Saturday, calling for the FBI to release additional documents to Congress.
The Halper revelation also shows the Obama administration’s FBI began prying into the opposing party’s presidential nominee earlier than it previously admitted.
As I’ve said on the show, why would the FBI lie to everyone (Congress/the public) about when their efforts against the Trump campaign started unless they were hiding that it was politically motivated?
It’s been long known that Avenatti and Don Lemon are friends. It’s assumed this photo was taken at Lemon’s home. Lemon has also gone REALLY easy on Avenatti during interviews. Especially considering Lemon’s criticism of President Trump for threatening libel suits for lies the media prints about him while letting the same actions by Avenatti slide.
The wife of a CNN commentator accidentally exposed the network’s bias in a now-deleted tweet that showed anchors and pundits partying with Stormy Daniel’s lawyer Michael Avenatti.
Juanita Scarlett, who is married to CNN political commentator Errol Louis, posted a photo of Avenatti with Louis, CNN anchor Don Lemon, and CNN commentator Margaret Hoover.
The caption read, “Thrilled to have met @MichaelAvenatti at the Sag Harbor soiree of my second favorite favorite on-air journalist @donlemon @errollous @MargaretHoover.”
