“While speaking to the press on Sunday, Sept. 1, the President addressed Hurricane Dorian and its potential impact on multiple states, including Alabama,” he continued. “The president’s comments were based on that morning’s Hurricane Dorian briefing, which included the possibility of tropical storm force winds in southeastern Alabama.”

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

Not only are celebrities, activists, and politicians sharing photos that aren’t the Amazon fires, but there hasn’t been an increase in Amazon fires this year. Certainly not an 80+ percent increase. The fires are on average for the past 15 years. Also, most of the fires are on already cleared agricultural land, not in virgin rainforest. This type of burning is commonplace every few years with farmers.
Oh, and the Amazon isn’t the ‘lungs of the Earth‘ and it doesn’t produce 20% of our oxygen. That’s fake news.
