I’m not saying you shouldn’t get a COVID vaccine and I’m not saying the COVID vaccines will do the same as in this story. I do want you to know that the CDC has rushed vaccines for pandemics and pushed their safety. Sometimes, this led to disastrous results. Some of the current COVID vaccine side effects are the same as in the 1970s.
Even if the number of serious adverse reactions is rare, considering the vast majority of people aren’t in danger of dying from COVID, people shouldn’t be compelled to get one without knowing the long-term effects, if there are any. Especially since there are safe and effective treatments available.
What I find so interesting about this story is that the ‘experts’ rushed to make a vaccine because of unsubstantiated media reports and our government shoved it down people’s throats. They then hid the side effects from the public so more people would get the vaccine citing a ‘consensus of the scientific community.’ They then used celebrities to promote the vaccine. Sound familiar?
Fast forward to another pandemic I actually covered in my career. I was alone for a long time mocking the ‘swine flu’ pandemic. Ultimately, I was proven correct.

Keiji Fukuda, the WHO’s top influenza expert, said the UN agency’s six-phase system for declaring a pandemic had sown confusion about the flu bug, which was ultimately not as deadly as the widely feared avian influenza.
“The reality is there is a huge amount of uncertainty [in a pandemic]. I think we did not convey the uncertainty. That was interpreted by many as a non-transparent process,” Mr Fukuda said.
Again, sound familiar?
Not only has the CDC and WHO repeatedly been caught being dishonest during the COVID pandemic, they have a long and rich history of this behavior.
