Did Orlando Terrorist Attack To Help His Dad Get Elected In Afghanistan?

I’m going to start this by acknowledging this is a little out there, but bare with me.

Orlando terrorist jihadi Omar Mateen’s dad, Seddique Mateen, is a pro-Taliban Afghani who recently declared his candidacy for president of Afghanistan. He’s out there talking about the terrorist attack like he was a moderate western friendly Muslim. His history of rhetoric calls that into question.

Daddy Mateen has been posting on Facebook, and is, apparently, campaigning. There aren’t posts of a grieving father at all. Some of his followers are also praising his son.

He also just posted this 18 hours ago:

Could this be way to elevate his status back in Afghanistan among the Taliban? Perhaps he’s just an opportunist pouncing on the opportunity. Maybe it’s all just a coincidence.
