There is no federal provision that allows him to “forgive” student loan debt on the backs of taxpayers via the stroke of his pen. Nancy Pelosi is on record saying Biden doesn’t have that power. The Department of Education has said Biden doesn’t have that power. For the president to still attempt this move wouldn’t just be a pushing of the envelope. Rather, it would be a conscious, deliberate decision to commit an impeachable offense.

Some have assumed I was calling for the Tribune to investigate the SouthBend Police Department. This assumption is incorrect. I merely was commenting on the aggressive tone of the paper in covering Elkhart vs South Bend. I did make references to years past where the Tribune did seem to go soft on SBPD issues. I did not, however, call for the Tribune to investigate the SBPD for any issue. Nor did I accuse the SBPD of any wrongdoing. I’m unaware of any issue that would warrant such an investigation.
