“Secretary Clinton did not use a classified email account at the State Department. An account was set up on ClassNet on her calendar, but it was not used,”
#China has been using unfair trade practices and currency manipulation for decades. It’s not in dispute, and universally accepted as fact. We have three choices in the matter:
“People say [#Trump] would start a trade war. Well, no matter what The Donald does he can’t start a trade war because we’re already in a trade war with China. But only they are waging it,” Chang told CNBC. “The question is how do we end it on terms not only advantageous to the United States but also to the international community.”
Coca-Cola says it won’t market soda to children under 12 and does not advertise on children’s television. But a new investigation from the Center for Science in the Public Interest finds that some of the company’s marketing practices are inconsistent with its pledges. #Coke‘s policies bar marketing that “directly” targets children under 12 and in which 35 percent or more of the audience is composed of children under 12. But Coke advertises on family-oriented TV shows, at theme parks, and other venues that reach huge numbers of children. While the company says it won’t use celebrities or characters whose primary appeal is to children under 12, it exempts its own “equity characters” like the Coke polar bears, and it uses Santa Claus in #advertising throughout the world.
On Monday Hispanic #reporter Marcos Spudenengo was booted from Trump Tower before an interview with Donald Trump. Except that he never had an interview scheduled with Donald Trump.
A woman in a baseball cap who was harassed by a fellow #bathroom-goer at a Connecticut Walmart over the weekend, apparently being mistaken for a #transgender man, has been getting much media play this week.
The project, which saw US and Australian military scientists combine resources, is on track to launch in 2018 after its latest engine trial hit the target speed of Mach 7.5 – more than seven times the speed of sound.
Ben Carson says Donald Trump’s list of possible running mates includes some awfully familiar names for anyone who’s followed the 2016 presidential race: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin called the list a “conservative dream team.” He said it would be very similar to what conservative Sen. Ted Cruz would have released.
In a memo, the Nevada Democratic Party said 58 Sanders supporters were denied because they either were not registered #Democrats by May 1 or their information — such as address, date of birth and name — could not be found or identified in time, and they did not respond to requests to provide that information.
#Bernie Sanders won Nevada Saturday after county conventions took the win from #Hillary Clinton. The Clinton and Sanders campaigns clashed at Nevada county conventions, and Sanders walked away with three county wins, including Clark County where Clinton had originally won the vote. This means that although Clinton got more votes on caucus day, Sanders will likely end up with more #delegates.
In an election season when political outsiders #Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have inspired passionate followings, perhaps Gerard Arthus should be no surprise.
The medal has been given since 1883 to those “whose genius has ennobled the arts and sciences, illustrated the ideals of the Church, and enriched the heritage of humanity.”
The Navy awarded #Silver Star medals in secret to two #SEALs for their roles in the controversial rescue of Army Pvt. #Jessica Lynch in Iraq in 2003, according to newly released documents.
Today on my show, I covered the story of the transgender person being ‘forced’ to use the men’s room instead of being allowed to use the women’s restroom. Something doesn’t add up to me. Perhaps I’ve just become a cynic since nearly all of these ‘discrimination’ stories end up being proven to be false.
“I have used the woman’s restroom for over 21 years now,” Onasses said.
Until last month, when Onasses says a South BendTranspo employee forced her to use the men’s room at the station on Michigan Street.
“I had went up to her and asked her does she have a unisex bathroom? She replied ‘no’, and pointed at the men’s restroom and forced me to go to the men’s restroom,” On assess said.
It didn’t stop there.
Onasses says the employee posted photos of her on Facebook, mocking her.
“It was tragic for me,” Onasses said.
Onasses filed a complaint with the South Bend Human Rights Commission and with Transpo.
Before we continue, let me just point out the obvious. You were NOT ‘forced’ to use the men’s room. You were directed to the men’s room. Big difference.
As I stated earlier … I have questions.
If you are a long-time bus rider … why did you need to ask if they have a unisex bathroom?
If you’ve been using the women’s room for over 20 years … why did you ask for a unisex bathroom?
How did you know that the Transpo employee posted images of you on social media to make fun of you?
How did you find those images (they are in the ABC57 story)?
Do you know the Transpo employee?
Are you feuding with the Transpo employee?
These pieces are missing from the story. I’ve reached out to the reporter to see if she was provided any of this information by the subject of the segment (ABC57 is a news partner of 95.3 MNC).
Considering nearly every story I’ve covered over the past couple of years like this has ended up being false, I tend to be skeptical from the outset. Especially if there’s glaring holes in the story that might point to a different conclusion than was sold to the news agency by the story’s subject.
I’ve attached the podcast of my segment from today’s show on this issue for you to listen to.
