On Saturday, New York Times reporter Michael S. Schmidt helped write a story called, “Trump, Offering No Evidence, Says Obama Tapped His Phones.” This piece echoed the common liberal mantra that attempted to paint the new President as unhinged and unnecessarily alarming. However, Jeff Dunetz on LidBlog points out a rather inconvenient truth for the NYT reporter: on January 19 and 20, the same Michael S. Schmidt helped write an article that claimed members of the Trump team were being wiretapped and passed on the President.
“It is ‘Obamacare gone’ because we repeal all those taxes, those mandates, those subsidies. There is nothing left there. Instead, we give them the same tax break that we give workers at big businesses,” Brady told Fox News. “We give that same tax help to small business people. Those mom and pop businesses, workers at small businesses, even those entrepreneurs and families in between jobs, the ability to buy a plan that is right for them.”

Leadership wants to keep the individual mandate but instead of mandating a tax penalty to the government they mandate a penalty to the insurance company (can it possibly be Constitutional to mandate a penalty to a private insurance company?)
“This is Obamacare by a different form,” Rep. Jim Jordan, an Ohio Republican, told Politico. “They’re still keeping the taxes in place and Medicaid expansion, and they’re starting a new entitlement.”
