Rep. Doesn’t Tell The Truth About CHIP Funding

H.R. 3 rescinded funds from programs who were defunct or didn’t need the money. One of those programs is the popular Children’s Health Insurance Program or CHIP.

A listener has asked me why she would vote against getting money that isn’t needed by a program back so it can be used by programs that need the funding. Good question.

Rep. Walorski’s (R-IN) response was that she opposed cuts to CHIP, but H.R. 3 didn’t actually cut . So, her reasoning for opposing rescissions is false.
